he decided yesterday,that he wanted to go to rehab,but he had to get drunk first before going..he says that is the only way he can into detox is if he is drunk..him going into rehab is going to make moving back north a little harder,cause now i have a whole house to pack and figure out where i am going to put his stuff..and know that he is rehab,the mortgage isny going to get paid...he did say yesterday on the way to gainsville to the va hospital,he said to make sure if anything to make the mortgage,i told him,there is noway i can afford to make the mortgage and pay all the other bills and be able to eat,he said to let my car go back{right that is telling me he still has to control me even with him in rehab}cause with no car i have noway of getting around the only way i can get around is to call his mom...i told him you made this mess not me also told him you have to do this rehab cause you want to. it wont work if you dont want to do it,and you have to do it for the right reasons not because you just a dui.he said i have to do it or i will be going to jail for over a year,and if they found out about the other duis from ny{98.00.03}i will go to jail longer.and i dont want to go to jail,you dont know what it is like in there.... but im going to call a lawyer today and im going to call the guy who is holding our mortgage{mortgage isnt though a bank,it is though a private lender}but we will see...i did pray to my HP on helping me to make things easier for to pack things up,so maybe this was my answer,and also asked my HP over the weekend{before he got the dui}to tell me if i am doing the right thing..but i know i am doing the right thing by moving north,this makes 6 times he has been in rehab since 96 5 now since we have been together{later part of 98}but i will update you all when i know something about all this,just keep me in your prayers,and i will be praying to my HP FOR GUIDENCE IN THIS
You keep taking care of you. It is no fun packing up a house, but it will be nice for you to get back to where you want to be. I pray that you have luck talking with the mortgage people!
I'm pretty sure a storage locker for a month isn't too expensive - maybe you could just throw all his stuff in there and mail him the key?
It's a good idea to talk to the person holding the mortgage, too - there may be a way around all this. Nice self restraint on your part when he suggested giving up your car - you didn't say "How about I just turn in your truck?"
