Gayle & Al-anon meetings

Gayle, I respect your obvious knowledge of alanon and how it work, however I would appreciate it if you could show more respect for other members here, your responses can be very hurtful.

RE: Gayle & Al-anon meetings

(((((Roomies)))))))))))

I had contemplated a post similar to this one myself. I am NOT In the habit of being spiteful to others. But I would also have to say on this matter.

Yes we are ALL hurting and In so much pain. We come In here looking for understanding, and If one reply Is less than understanding. It can have serious affects on these people. They may feel, hurt, that no-one understands them, thinks they are stupid. We suffer negative responses from the A's In our lives. We do NOT need them In a place where we should feel, safe, loved and understood.

This Is an honest programme, and I feel we have to be honest with eachother in order to work this programme.

And we should be able to say how we feel, Without malice or bitterness.

Yours In Recovery
Ally

Ally,

heard at many al-anon meeting openings......,

"you may not like us all,

but,

you will come to love us,

as WE ALREADY LOVE YOU."

[hope i paraphrased that as close to what is said at meetings]

love

jewely

RE: Gayle & Al-anon meetings

For me Al-Anon in a nutshell is: Patience, Love and Tolerance and I am reminded that I have choices concerning such matters as this.

I for one, will try not to be distracted from my Program because my *Serenity* is priceless (I ask myself *How important is it?)

So all are aware- I have asked just that and as a result I have sent Private Messages to a few members concerning this matter.

*Please may we, Let Go and Let God?

Much care and wishes in recovery,

tea2
