stinking computer won't let me into chat

For some reason, my security on my computer is blocking me from getting into chat.  Sometimes when it would do this, if I kept trying, I could eventually get in.  But since yesterday, after my nephew was online, I tried to log in and the chat main page came up completely black in place of where the white chat part is.  There were the links on the left of the completely black screen, and at the bottom of this black screen, it said "done", meaning it was done loading.  Done.  Nothing.  Black screen.  I've gone into the security page and tweaked some settings, but to no avail.  LOLOL, I just need some chat, some ESH today, and I can't get in, rofl...HP just take over my thinking today pleeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzz! 


LOL, you haven't seen the last of me, hehehe, I'll get the kinks worked out, I hope soooooooon.

Kathy are you running the latest program? I know when John updates the site, back when I had the Mac, I would not be able to get in until I downloaded a newer program.


I don't know if that is it??? I hope you figure it out, we need our MIP food and fun!!!  love,debilyn

I did try rebooting, several times.  Still no chat.  Debilyn, what about downloading a newer program?  I am not familiar with that, nor how to do it.  If you can tell me how, I'll give it a shot.  I currently use Java, not mirc, if that makes any sense.  (Hopefully I said that right, lol...).


One other thing, we just got the computer back last week from the computer guy...had spyware on it, and it had frozen up on us.  When my nephew was on it Christmas Eve day, he had visited sites to find out stuff about a new thingy (lol) I bought him for his computer, and he visited this one site, kragokshrine.deviantart.com which had some scantily clad females on it...Did I get some kind of virus or something when he went to that site that is locking up the chat page?  I'm not having any problem with anything else, no other sites that I'm trying to go to.  I don't go to other chats, so I can't check out any to see if they load. 


I am going thru chat withdrawal,    so any help from ANYONE would be greatly appreciated...lolol...

And here I thought it was just my computer!  Darn those gremlins!  I tried shutting down my firewall and that usually does the trick.  Note the past couple of days.  Grr.....
