i have not posted in awhile, and i wanted to wish everyone a peaceful holiday.
my daughter has completed her rehab stay, and is now at a halfway house closer to home. she's attending meetings daily, finding a new sponsor since her move to help her with 4th step, job hunting, making new friends, staying away from old drinking friends, learning her way around her new surroundings. she's calm and has really matured a lot in the past months. almost at 90 days clean and sober. i'm staying committed to alanon meetings and enjoying having her closer for visits. i'm job hunting in hopes of making a bit more money in 2007 and looking forward to a new challenge. we absolutely made the right choice for her not to come home following treatment. she needs to do this on her own.
for all of this, i am grateful. recovery is hard work, and the rewards are endless. please keep the faith. i wish only good things for all of you in the upcoming year.
Thanks for sharing that wonderful news - it is always encouraging to hear about those family members who have done well. Glad that you are doing well also.
Wishing you peace, hope & serenity throughout the holidays & new year,
Rita

Glad to get your update. I'm happy to hear your daughter is doing well. I do believe there is hope in the midst of this awful disease! I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. Wishing you God's special blessings during this Christmas season!
What a positive share. I can be obsessed with what the A is up to. Lately he hasn't worked. I can spend all my time thinking of him and I have to work overtime not to.
thank for the reminder that setting limits works for some.
