Thanks for the replies to my previous post. The feeling of the doom cloud is passing, and I have a thought that maybe this fire was the reason I was placed in my house with my A for so long. Mom's house will survive and hopefully be redone before I need to move, we all are actually looking forward to my staying there.
And for now I packed up as much of her and my stepDad's clothes, bedding linens .... basically anything cloth to see what can be salvaged from the smoke odor and soot. So it's just Sully,me and a hundred or so loads of laundry LOL for the weekend. Sully will enjoy the basement time, he is fasinated with the basement for some reason ... who knows why. This will be a good lesson in patience and determination
I couldn't figure out why my dogs loved the basement either....then I found a HUGE box of dog bones and biscuits at the far corner of the basement closet.

Glad you all are ok. I hate this stupid board. the messages are so screwed up. There can be a new message clear at the bottom. I changed that thingy but it made no difference.
Is it not ever going to be fixed???
anyway you sound good. You might call the fire dept and ask the best way to wash these cloths. I do know hydrogen peroxide is a great cleaner.
