Dont know where you live, but you might try contacting your local alanon group. In my groups we have old literature that belongs to the group that we lend out or sell for practically nothing.

Are there any used book stores near you? I purchase books at these all the time and then give them or sell them to people who cant afford the full price for new literature. Look in the recovery books section. Look for books that have a triangle with a circle in them, those are conference approved literature.

Have you tried the public library??? Sometimes they have some literature. Again, look for books on recovery.

Also, since you have access to an computer, you can go to the link on this website and listen to speaker tapes....listening to them would be the next best thing to going to a meeting/conference.

Also, a subscription to the Forum magazine is only 11.00 a year, and you get a magazine every month...with really great stuff. (It bills itself as a Meeting in My Pocket, and it is!)

We also have meetings online at this website twice a day in the chat room. The links section at the top left of this page shows the times.
