Northwest Storm in the US

I am praying for those affected by the storm that went through the Northwest.  I understand it was devastating.  Many without power.  I haven't seen a couple of our MIP's in a couple of days.  Hope to see them back in real soon!

Thanks for your prayers Ziggs. Both my sons and my daughter-in-law live in Seattle, and I cannot get them by phone. One lives on the beach of the Puget Sound. I am scared to death, but got to keep a positive outlook. Keep the prayers coming.

Many good wishes, Diva

I cannot imagine being in the cold without any heat. My prayers are with them.

Adding my prayers for everyone too.

The winter of 96 left us w/out power for one week. UGH. No showers. Heating by woodstove and living in one room, heating snow to flush toilet, well you get the picture but at least we were all ok.

Hey ziggy and all,

We got hit hard here with the storm on the 14th.  We lost power much earlier than some, but finally got our power back this afternoon.  We still have friends without power and I know they would appreciate prayers!  I realized how much we do take electricity for granted!!!!  Tonight we are finally warm and  comfy.  We spent a few days with friends, but sleeping here.....last night was freezing!  I am so thankful to have power.  And we are thankful for the generosity of dear friends!  I can't imagine having to endure longer than we did, but I know some will be still without power for days.  Thanks for your prayers and continued prayers!  This group is awesome!

Love,

my kids live in seattle too.   one has power, while across the street no power.    I read that they have restored power to half the area.

Everyone I know is in the puget sound area.  Talked to my mom yesterday and there are trees down everywhere.  The power was out and she said it is in the 20's.  She said they have shelters opened up all around town.  I grew up in WA.  Hope everyone is doing ok.  Sounded like a hurricane hit with the wind speeds over 100mph my mom had a huge tree in her back yard that has been there forever and it went down.  Through teamwork people will get through this!

Finally heard from both my sons. Son number 2 had a terrifying time on the ferry from Seattle to Mercer Island the day of the storm, but other than that, all's well. God I am sooooo thankful. Diva
