Just wanted to check on you and your farm and family and make sure you are okay. I hear things are really stormy up your way. I hope you are warm and cozy and have power to hook up with us. My brother lives on an island off of Seattle and haven't heard from him but it sounds really nasty up your way. I know you're in Oregon - but it sounds like it is hitting your state also.

I was thinking of your too Debilyn. I worry about you up there all alone dealing with the dogs getting out and the animals in freezing conditions. I have a hard time somedays getting up and feeding the animals. I try to feed my ferals a bit extra at the moment because they are so cold. I know the weather in California is not as bad as Oregon but I feel it now more than ever. I guess that is a sign of getting old.
Last night when I was out chasing my dogs who had got out because the A couldn't be bothered to chain them up outside I thought of you and your fences. I can't imagine going out in the snow and sleet to repair fences. My dogs were out missing for an hour last night and then came running home like they had just been around the block. They were so happy I soon forgot how angry I was at them for running off.
I hope your animals are providing you with lots of companionship. I hope this holiday isn't a sad one for you. I know your A was once sober and you have happy memories. I have very very few happy memories with the A. I do hope to have a quiet productive time. I also am not going to making a Christmas for the A. My days of sacrificing for him are over.
