I just wanted to update and let you guys know that the house finally sold, it closed last Thursday and we actually walked away with a little money. I paid off a credit card and then wired him $600 which cost me $70 to do and that was his half, the last cent I will ever give him. Spoke to his mom and she's sure he will be dead my Christmas (also his birthday) and found out that she's been sending him money and not telling me.
I am happy to have one less credit card payment every month AND I avoided interest on the card too by paying it off before it accrued at the end of this month. I am about to take a truck Repo on my credit for about 13k and I just finally got it mostly cleaned up a few months ago. What a bummer, another 7 years. The truck is still sitting in the impound and there is about 1200 in charges for that plus it was damaged and will be sold like that so it's gonna be a big difference btw what I owe and what it sells for at auction. I should have followed my instinct when they put both the loans in both our names and refused!!
Otherwise things are going good! Thanks Lisa for telling me about myspace, I have been having all kinds of fun with that and it's using up a lot of time! I feel like I am getting better. My realtor and I are becoming good friends. I am still considering moving - my daughter is having SERIOUS problems with the school here and it's not her so I think moving would help in that respect. I'm too poor but my kids' education means too much for me to continue raising them here! It's amazing how you think all places are the same but really every part of America is different. Sometimes here I wonder if this IS still America???

Congratulations on finally getting the house sold! I know it was nice paying off that credit card. I am sorry about the truck though!! I hate finances--I hate having bad finances!!!!! I wish you luck and hope that it will all work out well.
I also wish you luck in finding a good area for you and your daughter, if you do decide to move. It really is amazing --the different areas all over America!!!! There is a spot that is just right for you guys!!! (I wish I had the $ to find the spot that was just right for me!!, but I think it's probably more of a lack of courage on my part--maybe one day I'll outgrow that!)
By the way, I don't have a lawyer (can't afford it) AND in this state you have to be separated for a year to file for divorce anyway. Sooooooo 8 more months to go! LOL
