Well he called collect tonight, he's in jail the night before I'm supposed to go to DC . The message says will you accept a collect call from, "if you want any of my check you better...." I filed for child support today. Called his boss who was looking for him and told him where he was along with the realtor, I signed the offer for the house today and he doesn't even know we have a new offer yet. I figure now he will probably not sign just to spite me.
Got the call from the bailbondsman and she said it was only $150 bond but the truck is in impound and he's obviously broke sooooooooooooo.......... I'm leaving first thing in the morning and not thinking twice about it!!
BAD PART - I know that the truck (in both our names) is in the impound and will sit! I'm leaving it, I'm taking the hit on my credit, I'm not doing another DAMN thing FOR him!
You know what I love about my bank? They will deposit joint checks with just one signature. Then, I take my half out of the bank and left his half in. That is what I did with my previous A at tax time. I love it when they think they can pull one on us to get their way.
I've been reading your posts this week... sounded like your A was in a downward spiral. I was right. Maybe jail will be a good place for him for a bit.
I'm so glad you're not changing your plans or running to rescue him. Have a great time in DC... don't look back!

I made it clear to my A that if he ever landed in jail, got a ticket etc, with his vehicle it was his problem, not mine. I made sure that the car was in his name only (I don't drive) so why should the insurance be in my name. I bailed him out once with the first vehicle. Never again. Can you perhaps call the credit company and ask them to take your name off the truck? Explain the situation, maybe they will work with you.
