Didn't get the job

Okay so I got a letter from the Candy Company, I didn't get the job.

I started thinking about this last week and decided that Alanon helps in more than just dealing with my A.  I thought about "what if I don't get this job?" "I really want this job" "I should have this job" then I realized what if my HP has something else planed for me???? Now I need to work on acceptance.  I am glad I thought about these things before I got the letter today because I know I would have been in tears but it seems disappointing, but I am feeling the feeling and then I can move on.

I have applied for more jobs I just thought this was the one, I guess my HP knows differently...LOL

I was absolutely distraught when I didn't get a job with Macy's in a mall here locally. I thought I knew about shoes. Doesn't every one, I thought?

I couldn't believe that, of all the people they wouldn't hire, Me?

Then later it came out, Macy's is a high stress place to work. they test a person's boundries like no one can.

Then there was the reality that when Radio Shack said "seasonal" they MEANT "seasonal." I couldn't believe that either! Why not someone like  me?

And then they deliever pink slips by email. What kind of place is that?

Aw Mary sorry about that.  But you're right HP must have other plans for you.  Sometimes I'd wish he'd give us a hint though.  We're still keeping our fingers and toes and tail crossed for ya so that you're perfect job may come soon.

Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,

Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

oh I know that's so discouraging. I had almost three years of job searching without even getting an interview. I was not picky. I included jobs where I would have been underemployed. As three years came to a close, I learned of a job opening, and I thought it would be "right up my alley". I got an interview, and they hired me! If I had been hired at an earlier job, I would have been so convinced it was the only job that would hire me. You're right - we can't know what's ahead for us. Take care of you --- Jill

(((((((((Mary))))))))))))),

You are rightm the job is out there, the perfect one that is perfect for you.

You'll find it. If you want some extra help there is a program that can help you for free, let me know if you need an extra boost to the job search. There is one at the agency that I work, but I know they have the program on your side of the bridge to.

Yours in recovery,

Mandy

You better believe it, HP has your future in His hands. He has that perfect job for you.

Hang in there, it will come.

Gosh this is a tough job market isn't it?

I know a friend of mine reminded me recently that if I don't interview I don't get a job.

Nevertheless I think there is a way to interview and deal with what comes up that I did not do.  Eventually I got pretty paralyzed by the constant rejection.

Lately I've picked up another part time job and I am looking at adding another one.  I think that would be good for me to do that be out of the house as much as possible.

I don't want to say keep interviewing because I know that didn't necessarily work for me.  I would strategize.  I also know how it is to have your hopes up.  Maresie
