Cried really hard tonight!

I am still greiving over the loss of my friend who "ditched me".  I could feel the pain of my mother becoming a drunk and dropping our dear friendship/mother and daughter relationship. As I was crying and asking the Lord why this was happening to me.  When I ask Him why my friend deserted me like she did that is when I had flashbacks of me being in my late teens and when I felt my mother deserted me for her booze.  I cried even harder.

I still feel the pain!

Bless you all!

Remember it was truly not your mom abandoning you. She was sick and her illness got to her. I wish I can give you great words of wisdom, but I don't have any. I do however know that you will overcome this. There are people here who really care for you. Don't give up.

Keep crying and release the pain. I think we all want to know why but only our HP knows for sure.

In support,

Nancy

I'm sorry you are feeling like this.  Feeling your own pain and reflecting back my in the end be a blessing to your recovery.  As the posts above state, your Mom was ill and didn't mean to harm you.  Grieving your loss of your friend and then your mother is important and healthy.  We love you and won't desert you.  And your HP is always a conversation or prayer away - you are not alone.

Take good care of yourself - a hug to you

I have not made that connection before. I had a friend recently do that to me. She insisted that I just leave the A on her terms.  I did not know that some of that pain also came from my mother's continual abandonment of me as a child.
