I decided earlier this week that I was going to try to take a trip to DC just me and the kids. I have a 5 day weekend for Veterans day and I decided this would be an excellent time to see DC in all it's glory. I have never been there and it's on my "list of things to do before leaving here". I keep intending to leave at some point but want to see all the things that I want to see and do all the things I want to do here first and DC was at the top of the list. Mind you I can't afford this it's all on credit BUT I DESERVE IT!!! and if I die before my next birthday I will have seen DC. It'll get paid off eventually, just like the mountain of other bills only this one will be fun and not paying for a drunk's drinking binge!
You go gal!!! That sounds like such a great idea! Just enjoy--I would say relax, but there is so much there to see and do relaxing will be impossible!! Have a great time.
I'll be going to a MA AA (w/Alanon) convention that wknd. I'm staying at the hotel 2 nights and planning on not only attending the convention but the hotel's ammenities too.
I would not do a trip on credit because it takes too long to pay off. Nevertheless I do agree it is wise to side step paying for or enabling any drunken binge. Hence my thanksgiving plans are to go elsewhere. If I can do Christmas too I will. Ideally I would like to go someplace fabulous but if its down the street its still not here watching him and his buddies drink.
