Ihave just read a site you advised bluejade to read,i have been struggling with the word alcoholic,not really and totally understanding what the hell went on, thanx to you i understand it completely ,i have been reading up as much as possible,but this site to me just hit home ,it felt like it was written just for me,my new friends here are truly wonderful people ,have learned me sooooo much.
Oooohhh! I read that too, just about twenty minutes ago! I really needed that. I saw so much of myself, my a and everyone in his life depicted in that article.
I am glad it helped you. It is acturally a Al-Anon brochure, and I was given that at my first F2F meeting. Of course I sat stupified during the meeting as people shared about "my Life", but when I left I went to get in my car and read it.
When I did, I cried. Just couldn't believe "my" relationship in this, it described "my" frustration and how I feed this thing.

rtexas, I want to thank you too, I got so many replies, after my first post, I just couldn't believe it. I did read the brochure on A. It really opened my eyes on a lot of things. Are you sure someone didn't steal my life story? hehehe. I am going to educate myself as much as possible on Alcoholism and any advice will be taken very seriously and to heart.
