One of mine is sitting in my recliner alone in the early morning while drinking my coffee and watching the hummingbirds outside my window eating from my feeder. Those little birds are so amazing to me.
Great visual way to start the day. Although its been a couple of weeks since I have been there I would say my greatest simple pleasure is sitting on the beach at water's edge with a good book and the kids running in and out of the surf.
On the homefront it would be watching any one of my kids succeed at something.

I'm looking forward to going to Lake Michigan this weekend to a particular beach with huge sand dunes... Where at the end of the day, as the sun sinks in to the water, a young man plays Taps from the pier.
Simple, but gives me goose bumps everytime.

How positive! I think enjoying the morning is one of my simplest pleasures also. Sunday morning, just sitting at my kitchen table, eating breakfast, not rushed, looking out to the Colorado mountains, enjoying the peace and quiet and calm of the dawn. It's always a new beginning!
this might sound funny but true.I like to drive I live in Houston so alot of driveing lol.I go on drive turn on my favorite radio station .It calms me I have made the best decssions driveing ..
I was just at my parent's summer cabin and I love watching the hummingbirds too! There are many birdfeeders and birds there and only once in awhile a squirrel too. Nature to me is so relaxing. I do prefer an ice water or diet coke :) Thanks for the reminder to stop and smell the roses. cdb
