When I think of all the wonderful daddies I know in this room I am reminded of one of my favorite things… trees. I wrote this poem today for my daddy, wanted to share it with you all on the eve of Father’s Day. From a daddy's girl, I just want to say thank you to all you beautiful father's out there who don't even know yet how wonderful you are. Smile at yourself in the mirror - remind yourselves that you do make a difference. All that because you shine that beautiful light from your heart and it reaches your children.
My father has done so much for me - and continues to do so. We've had our rough patches, our very rough patches and we've moved onto greener pastures now. I love my Father so very much and I fear that I can never express to him just what he means to me.
I'm looking forward to giving him Father's Day wishes tomorrow...
((((sparky)))) Thank you for the beautiful poem and thoughful wishes on Fathers Day. I am so blessed to have a wonderful dad for me to learn from and to try to live up to. It makes it so much easier for my son that he has such a great grandpa for him.
That was lovely. When my father passed some friend wanted to send me flowers. Instead I asked that they plant a tree in my father's memory. He always loved the woods. Now when I walk through the woods, I look at the trees and think of my father.
Thanks for the memories.
Live strong,
Karilynn
