Adopted 2 bunnies yesterday


Painters coming this morn to give estimate on painting our main floor - dining/living, kitchen, 2 bedrooms & 2 baths. Its me with the $ in savings and its time to start spending it! I dont need A husband's approval to open my savings account!


Also have a grassman coming to give an estimate. I will feel better if when I come home Im not embarassed. And yes this means Ive resigned to the fact that I'll be pushing that mower more often. Hey its exercise, right?


I came into AlAnon in Oct wanting to be able to live alongside A in the same house but not to be so unhappy doing so. I think Im finally starting to let it happen.

Good for you Barbara!!!

I have been slowly working my way around my whole house the last 2 years, painting, replacing flooring, etc etc etc. Great therapy, and the place looks soooo much nicer! Makes me happy just to come home and see it (when its clean!! LOL). It's not the "same" house anymore....I've changed and so has it!!!! Go For It!!!

And mowing grass is great for me too. Great exercise AND great time to talk with my HP.

Did you name the bunnies?

The bunnies (brother/sister) are 5months old. Their original names (at the shelter) were Tina and Turbo and we think they fit them just fine. Tina is a gentler bunny wanting to sit on the couch with us. Turbo is more hyper, not so willing to sit.

Hope you and son enjoy the new additions in the family. Son and I had a few house bunnies thru the yrs. They were litter box trained too.


If I were to get to gym on a regular basis like you I would think I could place down the mower as a form of exercise, w/o any guilt even.


I like it when I can do things for me to brighten my days.

You go girl  thats the spirit , if it makes u feel better to see the house painted and lawn mowed u do it . It took me awhile to get past the it's {his job{ to do tht stuff he lives here too!


We he did but that wasn't important to him and seeing it rundown upset me so i had a choice fix it hire some one or sit and complain about the state of my home. one more time PlAN B saved the day.  I also hired a house keeper every two weeks for awhile , I was busy working full time spending time with my kids and going to lots of meetings  no time to clean  hehe.


Like me u made a choice to stay in your relationship now it's up to you to make it as pleasant as possible for yourself . good luck    And don't argue about the extra cost taht are going to be incured , like u said it's' your savings and your paying for it and your doing it for YOU  no other reason needed .   Louise
