C2C, for Monday, 6/30, prayer

This reading gives an adorable example of a child praying by reciting the alphabet.  The child cannot remember the words to prayers, but trusts that God will know what he is saying.

I view prayer as a very personal activity, and for me it includes of number of issues:

-thanking God for many things

-asking to be helped with forgiving, and having compassion and kindness for 3 specific individuals

-and asking for spiritual assistance for a number of people who are suffering in different ways

And I like what the reading said about when we pray--it means we are open to healing

I walked my Sponsee through three short prayers. "God help me.", "Please!", "Thanks". You can do them anywhere anytime out loud or privately.
