Expectations, C2C P. 110

I have grown frustrated with my recovering spouse and wonder if my expectations are just too high for someone who's only been in AA for two years (almost).  I found a reading in C2C which reminded me of a number of things:

-alcoholism is a disease

-what is reasonable for me to expect?

-I need to adjust my expectations or else I am constantly disappointed

-an alcoholic can't keep every promise

Basically this reading is telling me that to feel better, I need the attitude adjustment, and part of that is looking for compassion.  I will try, as I always do, but at times I do grow weary.  Progress not perfection.  One foot in front of the other ODAT.
