hey everyone, missed you all

Been away for a little while.  Took 68 8th grader's to Nature's Classroom for 5 days.  What a great experience. My students got more out of the experience than I had even hoped for.  I cannot wait to go to work tomorrow and see what they are still buzzing about.

Things are going a little more smoothly with my AH.  In my mind I am working towards reconciliation and getting a little more comfortable with it each day.  We are spending time together and actually talking.  Some sticky moments, but I do not get to worked up about them.  I will be doing some reading on Tradition 7, as financial insecurity is a huge "ism" in our lives and I have worked really hard over the past 5 months on detaching from his financial burdens and making my life more manageable in this area.  He actually gave me $200.00 last week, first I have seen since he moved out 5 months ago.  His choices have really effected him financially and will continue to do so.  I know this, understand this and want to come up with a budget that I am able to deal with without resentment.  I do expect him to contribute financially, regardless of a reconciliation, but it would be much more difficult to not be resentful under the same roof, one I would be paying for.  So for today, I need to do some footwork.  What do I need to be ok, no I do not need fancy vacations or shopping sprees, but I do feel that I deserve to not scrimp every dime.  I work hard, have worked hard to get where I am in my career and should be able to reap the benefits of that hard work.

Progress......wow, it really does work!

Gratefully,

Lynn

Hi Confused, welcome back. Sounds like a great trip! Wish I could've gone sounds like fun

Well done for taking care of yourself and setting some financial boundaries. We're still struggling financially. It is getting better but just when we think we're almost there something comes up...but hey, life happens. As long as we're heading in the right direction, we'll eventually arrive.

With love in the fellowship, x  Maria  x
