9/13/22 C2C What Have I Spent my 'Money' on Today…

This author resolves to treasure moments of time as opportunities to strengthen relationships and better self. Regardless of circumstances, the 12 Steps can help us do that as will meetings, readings and associating with fellow Alanoners. In each moment, I can make a positive impact.

Time as currency: I receive 24 hours in my account that I must spend each day, how am I spending them?

The tools of Alanon allow me to enjoy this time, grow and improve. I even get to reset the 24-hour clock at any time I want a retake on an event as I work to realign my habits.

Reminder: This day offers a new start, what will I make of it?

"We start with gifts. Merit comes from what we make of them." - Jean Toomer
-----------------------
Love this concept...brings forward the issue of choice: each situation, each moment I can spend my time and energy coins toward thought and actions that leave me and those around me feeling more positive or negative.

What I spend my 'money' on is what I now own...what am I putting into my shopping cart right now, what lines the shelves of my mind and heart from yesterday's spend? The day before?

So grateful for the reminders

Thanks Paul for your service and ESH. I try to spend my money/time, on behaviors that bring me self-respect and self-esteem. When I make an unwise choice, I can remind myself to try again or do it differently next time. Instead of berating myself as I did in the past, I can give myself a new opportunity to learn and grow. Our program truly is remarkable, along with one of my favorite slogans, Progress not Perfection. :)

Thank you Paul for your service, today's reading and to you and Lyne for both your ESH.

I like that advice to look at each days time allotment as a bank of 24 hours to be spent wisely!!
