Love and Laughter

Hi, it's WendyP,  I decided to share some Love and Laughter with all of you. As I share my feelings, pain and fears, I thought why not share my Love and Laughter as well.

Yesterday, one of my Great Grand Son's came over to spend the day with me, he is 6 going on 7. I have a number of Grand's and Great's, and all of them have a peace of my Heart, this one however has a little bit more. We have just such a wonderful, very close relationship, loving in every way. It's hard for me to admit that, but it is true. It's not that I don't have a special one with the others, as I do, I treat them all as individuals, and love each one of them for their character.

Anyway, yesterday, I was trying to get up a Movie on Foxtel, trying to go through the search mode. My eldest daughter, who helps me navigate Foxtel, was going out, so I was left alone with all of it. Now, my Great Grand Son, knows through other times like this, that Nanie Wendy isn't in complete control of the Program. He has seen before what has happened, or didn't happen, when I am in control of the remote control gadget. As once before, I had to ask for his help, he is 6 and I am 76 and here he was telling me what to do, etc.

He knows modern technology and I don't get on to well, so I got up search, and was "trying" to type in the name of the Movie we wanted to watch. Well everything went pare shape after that, I couldn't spell it properly, I would get part of it up, and then the space bar wouldn't work. It was all jumbled up, my great Grand son has just finished Prep, and has started to spell. He started to say to me, "Nanie Wendy, what does that word mean" and trying to sound it out to me. I knew it wasn't right, it didn't matter how many times I tried to do it, it just wouldn't work.

I started to get frustrated with all  of it,I but then I just started to laugh, and he joined in and we both lost it. We couldn't stop laughing at my attempts, and especially when he continued to try to sound the words out. I told him that I would be still trying to get it working when my daughter came back, and hadn't moved from when she left. The moment we had together was priceless, to be able to laugh like we did together, and the love we show each other, I was a very contented Great Grand Mother last night.

The morale to the story, did I get it to work, no, I thought I did, he was watching it, until an ad came on, and I went to get it off, and then Postman Pat came on, so we lost it again. By this time my daughter had come home, she took the remote control,   and we finally was able to watch, Room On The Broom.

I want to wish all on the MIP Board, to have a safe, and Happy Xmas Day, with lots of Love and Serenity.

Lots Of Love,

WendyP.smilebiggrin

Wendy, thank you for sharing this sweet story! So glad you could laugh with your great-grandson. I've noticed that sometimes when things don't go the way I want them to, they go even better! Love and Serenity -- sounds good to me!

Thank you for that share, Wendy. It just highlighted that when "we" stop taking things so seriously, we can see the humor in everyday things. I would've been super frustrated btw... it was good that you had your Grandson there to "let you know" that it's all cool. Just think, if that moment in time had gone "just right," imagine the special moment/boding that you two would've missed!!

These are the times when I think an HP is in play!

Great way to start my day, thank you!

Great share Wendy! Technology is great when things go as planned -- not so much when it takes control and we feel helpless!!
