To those who responded to my last 2 posts, please read :-)

((((((everyone)))))))

On Friday I woke up thinking about the woman I met at my first F2F meeting (my Gypsy ) and how she had touched me.  How what she said has stuck with me and kept me coming back to al-anon.  Then the yesterday I was just having a hard day, working on being honest with myself and changing my attitudes.  Someone here at MIP asked me what would my Gypsy tell me..She'd say "Changed attitudes can aid in recovery."  Everything lately has been coming back to me and what I need to change within myself so that I can have serenity....today's reading in Hope for Today says "You can't turn something over until you truly own it."  Well I'm owning up, so that I can let it go.

All of you who responded helped me.... as my kids would say "that's spoooooky, mom."  lol  Because everyone of you gave me something I needed to hear.  Thank you.

Now I'd like to share with you how God/hp has worked in my life today.  Are you ready?? I went to my F2F meeting, we had a good crowd, several new faces and a gentleman who I didn't recognize though most of the group obviously knew.  He was the second one to share, he didn't say much and was very choked up, He was my Gypsy's husband.  I cried.  I couldn't believe that God had given me the opportunity to thank him, because I never had the chance to thank her.  After the meeting, I caught him out in the hall, and I shared what I had shared with you, everything she'd said to me and how she had made me laugh and was the reason I kept coming back.  We cried.  She's been passed for a few yrs now and he came because this was her home group and it was their 53 wedding anniversary.  He was missing her a great deal today.  I can't put into words what this was like --- it was amazing.

I don't believe in coinsidences, I don't believe I just woke up Friday thinking about her for no reason.  I know that thru this weekend, which had been hard for me, what she said kept ringing in my ear.  And I believe my desire to thank her was heard by God/hp.  I know that He has a plan and I am truly humbled today and grateful.   Makes me wonder what He's going to do next.

Thanks for letting me share,  you all are so wonderful -- Thank you!!!

Wow ! Such a beautiful experience Warm and caring, so touching to the soul. I'll cherish your share always . I love when I have them.  Goose bumps and all the rest................................

Thank you for share    Awsome !

I had a thought come to mind, hope its ok to imput, just an idea, maybe the way you thanked her was to be there representing her and her love being shared in the hug to her husband on their special day. And you got to deliver it, what a gift    Just a thought !

It's amazing what HP presents to us exactly at the times we need it.  I don't believe in coincidences either, everything happens for a reason.  Maybe seeing Gypsy's husband was to remind you why you kept coming back, and how much progress you have made over the years.  Thanks for sharing such a beautiful experience with us.

Hugs,

Twinmom~

((((((((((((((Wow)))))))))))))))))))))))))) Luna,

I don't believe in "just" coincidences.  Things happen for a reason.  What a gift you gave back to that man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you.

Keep coming

love Maria

I am so glad for both of you to get to  share such a wonderful experience on a special day to them.  I believe all 3 of you will be joined some day to finish the stories.

(((Lunamoth))) Thanks so much for sharing this with us, it moved me to tears. I responded to one of your posts but as I was replying to your 'Gypsy lady' one I lost it, dang or 's**t' as she would say. I was too poorly to re-post but the sentiments you invoked stayed with me throughout that day.

I'm so happy you were given the opportunity to thank your Gypsy lady's husband and I'm sure you eased his aching heart by sharing how she had given you something that would continue to exist beyond time and space, the love and gratitude you have in your heart for her.

With love and blessings,

x  Maria  x

That is just so amazing!  How wonderful that you were given the opportunity to share with her husband.  I know he must have loved all of the wonderful things you had to say!
