Thanks a bunch for the April 17th post. But..... Sorry to say it may get deleted, just a forwarning so your feelings won't be hurt. Alanon has copyright laws that the site has to by law adhere to. We are only allowed to copy a few sentences or an excerpt. Just wanted you to know as I'm sure your intentions were to benifit us all.

I love how I can feel so connected to others just by reading their words. I can feel your serenity through your post my friend and it touched my heart this morning. Thank you :o)
I would like to thank you in return for your e, s and h and I am grateful for you being a part of my chosen family. Unity -what a great topic! I am sure you already know this, however I would like to share what comes to mind for me in regards to unity -in a nutshell: Recovery through the Steps, Unity through the Traditions and Service through the Concepts -aka the Three Legacies (the triangle we see) and essentially makes Al-Anon a whole. If one side is missing then it would not be able to stand. Thus unity is needed. ”Unity” tells me that in order to get well, we need to work together to do what is best for the whole. From page 43 in Hope for Today Gosh, unity is a great word for an Al-Anon in many ways I even looked it up in my Webster’s dictionary (lolol) Noun: 1. The state or quality of being one or united; oneness. 2. The product or result of being one or united. 3. Singleness of purpose or action. 4. A state of mutual understanding. 5. The quality or fact of being a whole through the unification of separate or individual parts. 6. In a literary or artistic production, a combination of parts that exhibits a prevailing oneness of purpose, thought, spirit, and style; also, the cohesive or harmonious effect so produced.
That said I see you edited this and was perhaps origionally from page 108, 4/17 in Courage to Change (which is listed in the index under Tradition One) however you maybe mentioned Al-Anon Twelve Steps & Twelve Tradions; and Hope for Today (and I see in the index there are nine pages on Unity. Reading them I see that the common theme in is perhaps Tradion One as well) I was not sure, I can say it sure kept me busy tho -lolol I should mention (just as Christy said) a friendly explanation. In the index of the Al-Anon Alateen Sevice Manual 2004-2006 Posting online ..............page89 On page 89 it reads: Service Tools/Material and Electronic Publishing A listing of Al-Anon/Alateen service tools/materials that may be posted on Web sites is found on the WSO Web site: www.al-anon.alateen.org. A credit line "Reprinted by permission of Al-Anon Family Headquarters, Inc" Is required. No other Al-Anon/Alateen copyrighted literature may be reprinted electronically without express written permission from the WSO.
Another example where this is explained is in the front page of our daily readers. Citing more then a few sentences from our own CAL literature is too much. We could be shut down for this reason.
I tell myself when times are rough, "this to shall pass!!!" Ask HP for guidance, if the door is open, and I know how to look, I will become aware! I also visit http://www.inspiringthots.net/ . Blessings , Your sister in Recovery
