There will be the usual egg hunt for DS13. He still likes waking up Easter morn and looking for the plastic candy filled eggs. Husband & I have an Easter basket for him. Husband bought him the new Narnia DVD. I'll be taking son to the Davis Farmland to see the new baby animals. We do enjoy the farm. No relatives on Easter (or any holiday) but thats ok - they're all dysfunctional anyways - lol. Husband will stay home and cook dinner.
This year will be very different for me. My A and soon to be ex is taking the kids to his Mom's for Easter. Before they leave, we are going to have Easter breakfast together. After that I'm spending the day with a friend. Times are changing....
Hubby and I are spending a quiet day at home. After working 6 days this week, I am exhausted! So we will relax and cook dinner and just enjoy a relaxing day at home with the Piper Bunny! lol
Happy Easter and Passover to all!
Live strong, Karilynn, hubby and Pipers Kitty

I am spending easter with my brother's family in Katy, Tx. My mom is hear with us too....just got back from an easter egg hunt at the church!!!! I really had a hard time....those little kids move fast!!!!!!!
NO chocolate bunny yet!! But I am sure that easter bunny will provide!!!
I get less candy and some presents for the basket. My kids in typical procrastination mode haven't told me what they wanted or I can't find it. I'm sitting in an eye doctors for my daughters appt, my son has baseball practice at 1:30, I have a game at 3, we still have to color eggs (at least I boiled them last night, LOL) and I have to shop.
I asked the kids what they thought of going out for Sunday brunch and they aren't sure, they are used to staying at home for a meal. So I literally dont' know if I'll be ready, I dont' know what I'm eating, or if I even have to shop for dinner.
Ah.....but after spewing that stream of concience and taking a breath, I'm chuckling because most of it is out of my control now and I'll do the best I can and come tomorrow morning, it is what it is.

After a week of digging holes and pulling fence, I ain't cookin!! LOL, if I know them they'll try the in-laws. :) The weather has been beautiful here, a steak on the grill sounds good to me.. as I sit on the deck and watch my dogs romp around thier newly fenced yard.

I have no one at home. Boo, hoo. However, I am going with friends to the sunrise service at a beautiful canyon. Then off to my brother's to look for eggs and eat. Have a great, spirit filled day.
Enjoying some BEAUTIFUL spring weather in Ohio--at last! Everything green and lush and new--blossoms, flowers and new leaves everywhere. I love this time of the year because it's about new life, "resurrection", (which anyone recovering from crazy alcoholic and codependent stuff knows all about!) and hope for a better life, one day at a time. I don't celebrate "Easter" in any traditional religious way, but it is so full of recovery symbolism, as well as nature's renewal, that I love it for that! THis puts me in mind of one of my favorite says: that religion is for those afraid of going to hell, and spirituality is for those who have already been there!
