Not sure where I got it. I've read through the slogans and I don't think it's in there. Maybe heard it at a meeting. I guess it helps me get passed some of the things that block me from enacting other tools such as Let go and Let God, or First things First. It is simply "Is this helping me?" If I'm dwelling on some resentment towards my ex it helps me to drop it and move on. If I'm worrying over some future catastrophe I can drop it and deal more closely to the present. I'm moving me and the kids out of the house and into town so I've even used it when I get stuck on physical objects. Old egg yolk separator that I haven't used in years. "Is this helping me?" Nope, then into the donation bag it goes and I feel lighter and lighter.
Westman Great tool Thanks for the reminder I will also start using it as I can see how it can help me to move on in a positive manner. My living arrangement is also changing so this will help as I go through my possessions of a lifetime and ask that question . Good luck with the move.
Great update, share and slogan! Good on you Westman....may all the moves and changes be welcome with joy and hope! Happy Friday all!

Thank you for sharing this tool I haven't heard of it before but look forward to practicing it to help shift me into a more positive place! Many thanks!!!
Hey whatever works .. mine lately has been Do No Harm .. I include myself in that one as well. I have decided I'm to lazy in terms of if it is costing me extra energy it's just not worth it.
LOL!!

Great share, Westman! I am adding that to my toolbox!
Last August I left my AH, but it did take 2 more months for what I liked to call "The Great Purge." 29 years was a long time of accumulating stuff! Wishing you Peace & Harmony for this weekend!

Thanks Westman for the great tool. Is this helping? Yes! I have one I've given myself that is not an alanon slogan, but sometimes I just say to me, Get a Grip! I can make my life more simple if I give myself permission. Best of luck with your move, Lyne
