I really need to talk to someone

I'm so sad.  I know I am not managing well with my AH.  First post, maybe this is not the right place I don't know.  I hurt his feelings.  I can't bear it.  I feel like I did the wrong thing now.  It's a roller coaster

Welcome Blueskies You are not alone. There is hope and help.   Alanon is a recovery program for families of alcoholics. Face o face meetings are held in most communities and there you will find members who truly understand as well as literature that will open the door to new tools to live by.
We hold online meetings here at 9P M every evening.
Here is the link www.12stepforums.net/chatroom2.html That is our" chat room" and often many are there chatting. Try visiting or you can simply post your concerns here an others will respond

While I know it's late, I hope one of the fine women here will reach out for this newcomer and talk to her.

Be patient blueskies, if someone hasn't contacted you already, I certainly hope someone will very soon. Hang in there.

Hugs, (((blueskies))). I'm sorry you're in pain. Al-Anon is for everyone whose life has been affected by the drinking of a family member or a friend. I too encourage you to find and attend local Al-Anon meetings... It is worth it. I can relate well to feeling guilty, I was feeling guilty for much of the time I was living with my ex-Abf and also after moving out. A part of me stills feels guilt even though I've finally gone no contact with him. Oh, I have done my share of things that I am responsible about and feel guilt about, but the thing with me is that living with an alcoholic I learned to feel guilty for things that weren't my responsibility too. Others have shared that this is quite common, I'm still learning... I ended up feeling guilty constantly. Keep coming back, you are not alone

Welcome back blueskies - this is a dreadful disease that is cunning, baffling and powerful. I can relate to your post as I too had been affected by the disease. We (friends and family) of an alcoholic can benefit from our own recovery in Al-Anon. That's where I found others who truly understood and gave me support to heal/deal with this disease.

I too encourage you to seek out and attend some local Al-Anon meetings. There is hope and help in recovery and you are not alone! (((Hugs)))

Good Morning Blue Skies I trust you made it through the night ok? I just saw your post this morning and thought I would give you some experience, strength and hope while waiting for peeps to show up to the Sunday morning Alanon meeting in chat. I don't come on the message board much, so your name is new to me. It made me think of the old ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) song Mr. Blue Skies.  If you're not a product of the seventies you probably won't recognize the song, but here are a bit of the lyrics to start your day:

"Sun is Shining in the Sky,

there's not a cloud in sight,

it's stopped raining,

Everybody's in the play,

And don't you know it's a beautiful new day!"

If you want to listen to the rest of the song here is the link: https://youtu.be/GswbT5zfmRE

I hope today finds you in better spirits, and just remember the Al-anon slogon, "This Too Shall Pass".

Love and hugs!

Overcomer

I haven't seen the OP post back yet, so I hope everything is OK -- and I am hoping one of the women here reached out for her, messaged her, etc.

Blueskies, keep coming back. There are people here who can help you. You can get off the roller-coaster. It is up to you. All the best.
