Could not forget the MIP family on this day...getting ready to attend the AA at the Bay Easter Feaster (really!!)...after the meeting we will feast on the menu and each others ESH. This is a long lasting tradition for a meeting founded by both AA and Al-Anon over 25 years ago. Just heard from a traveler yesterday and the has heard about this Saturday-Sunday meeting from far off which is not the first time I've heard that. The meeting is "different" it is often said...it is not filled with drunk-a-logs but works regarding step and tradition recoveries and successes are always spoken about.
Today is the Sunday Easter Feaster version and I continue to volunteer the potatoes...what ever version sneaks into my mind. Higher Power will be with the group that none keel over from my cooking. LOL.
I will carry you all with me as I often do. (((((hugs)))))
Happy Easter, Jerry! I would love to be joining you and your group for potatoes in Hawaii! Maybe some day. I love when our program has meetings on holidays, because sometimes that is when we need it the most.
Love that you shared what is going on in your part of the United States today, as holidays seem to be the worst for me so early in my process. What you described sounded so amazing, that I wished more than anything to be there to experience this!! I will walk with you in spirit! Mahalo!
