to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Hi. How are ya? I stopped by the conference on the way to work this morning. There were several meetings going on at once. I chose one on Alanon slogans. It was pretty good. I didn't share. I chose to Listen, but one that kept coming up was How Important Is It. I like that one. Be interested to hear any thoughts on what your favorite slogan is and why.

Aloha Wolfie and I like this one a lot myself because it keeps me responsible for the quality and quantity of solutions in my program. It has also diminished the amount of reacting to how life goes on around me. I have learned how to respond if necessary rather than just react. Thanks for the 12th. (((hugs)))
Glad you stopped by, although yesterday was a busy day for me, and I can't get to your question until today.
I love How Important Is It? Earlier, I didn't see the value in it, b/c quite frankly, my little family was in crisis due to my qualifier, and everything was important! That was when "First Things First" saved my sanity! Now that I have some physical and emotional space from that chaos, I use HIII almost daily! It really helps me to keep centered in the fact that I am not perfect, and not everyone needs to know what I think about something... I do have really good ideas (got a silly award about it one year), but there is a fine line between having "all the great ideas" and thinking everyone needs to hear and implement them!! Now I share my ideas only when asked.
I also really like Quit Taking It Personally, as I tend to take everything personally... I am pretty sensitive at times, so this one is good for MY arsenal!
And probably the one that helped me deal with the madness of addiction best, "Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes." That one, said to me many times by loving MIP members is what got me out of my FEAR, and allowed me to take back my life. True, it's not the life I envisioned when I was younger, but it is MINE, and it is PEACEFUL!

Oh....my - there are so many that touch my program and brain each day! I might have to say, "This too shall pass" and/or "let Go and let God". Great discussion and great topic! Thanks for the posts everyone...
