I am not sure how many of the MIP family have this little reader which has been around for while.  It is not a daily and can be read daily.  The contributions within the book are from the world-wide fellowship which makes it a very supportive reader.  It is part of my wife and my literature library at home and it is like a warm soft pillow on which to lay my head when I want to remain comfortable...like now as I sit at my "puter" with this family and the family of "twitters" outside doing life and seed and causing smiles.  Being blessed.   ((((hugs))))  wink

Hello Jerry, thank you for commenting about this book. I'm an Al-Anon literature nerd, and like to think I own all the books. But I actually don't own "As We Understood", though we have it for sale at my meeting. I might just have to buy it when I go to the meeting tonight, thanks to your review!

 OMG thought this might be a wind-up for some people...! Old group stuff surfacing for me...!

But no, true CAL book, which I do recall seeing around years ago. [Googled it....] Getting to that stage of life where I am spending a bit more time at the fireside... and more time to reflect... getting one off books from the USA cost much more for post, than the book. Might have a bit of a look round my local membership, to borrow a copy; which will do me no harm, at all... biggrin...
