This was the gift of the day from Hazeldon. Love it and had to share it with you.
"The natural flight of the human mind are not from pleasure to pleasure, but from hope to hope." - Samuel Johnson -
THE POWER OF OPTIMISM
A truly powerful force in the universe is that of optimism. Optimism lies at the root of our mental and physical health. It can stimulate the body's immune system and inspire recovery from a critical illness.
Optimism expresses itself in the persistence and resilience of living things. A child learning to walk falls down and picks himself up until he stands erect. A decade after the eruption of Mt. St. Helens destroyed the ecology, life has reestablished itself on the volcano with amazing abundance and rapidity. And despite its hostile enviroment, a sole dandelion miraculously pushes itself up through a crack in the concrete. That dandelion is optimistic it can and will survive.
In the long run, the forces of love and life ALWAYS triumphs over those of fear and death. No matter how challenging the obstacles or difficult the tests, there is always the cause for optimism.
From: Listening to Your Inner Voice by Douglas Bloch
I don't know about the rest of you, but I certainly intend to try and live my life with a song in my heart and a smile on my face! When you look at all these posts and see the sorrow and heartache, the one thing that always comes through is the HOPE and OPTIMISM of this family.
Love and Blessings to all of you! Make it a great day.
Live strong, Karilynn

How amazing!!! I've had no internet for almost a week now. Power cuts etc so it's been on and off like a yoyo! Yesterday,no electric so I took myself and little Ruby off for a walk near the mountains. I sat on a rock and looking around me,I saw the most exqusite little spring flower growing nearby, with no soil, just popping it's pretty head through the rock. And I sat and admired it's tenacity, thinking that if such a delicate little flower could survive in such a hostile environment, what the heck was I doing sitting feeling sorry for myself??It really humbled me......as did your lovely post.
Thanks for that Dear Kari....I needed another reminder.
karilynn you are mucho appreciated here. I loved this post. I know a lot of my recovery is looking for, and being aware that the world with its beauty is stiil there, even when I am a mess.
Maybe our optimism is what Aism tried to kill. I believe that.
croooooak, love, debilyn ps you still have not told me what it is about frogs that bothers you
Each day holds something new to learn, to share, to live. There is always hope for today, a smile and a song to carry in our heart. Something beautiful reminding us of how so very precious and powerful words (used with optimism and a song) along with our very own set inner attitude can change everything, make everything better. Thanks so much for posting this message. ((((BigHug))))
