hmmm so an empty envelope is delivered to my mothers today

Its from Brothers name with his new address to mothers last name (same as brothers and mine). Well this way he let her know where he is but cant say the mail was sent to her! Of course my mother had to check out the address and did see his car. Its smart thinking on my brothers side. We know where he is and that he has a roof over his head. I just hope my mother stays away. If she doesnt will the restraining order be turned off or will she now be in trouble with the courts too?

Hello Barbara,

I am not that familiar with restraining orders but they usually have a timeline on them. I would think he is the one that would be in the most trouble so by contacting him your mom could get him in more trouble and I am sure she doesn't want to do that. Remember that his actions caused these consequences. This is how we all learn in life. It may be tough now but in time hopefully he will learn from this and not repeat his same actions that got him in this situation. Finding out the end time of the restraining order may help put you mom's mind at ease. At least she will have something to look forward to and not feel like it is a permanent thing. cdb

We were told after he was back in court this past Tues that it will be at least May 5 when he appears again before he can be in touch with us. Its already been since Jan 31st.
