My mother used to tell me things, she would say, "I am saving you grief, learn from my words."  It would drive me in a fury!


I read somewhere recently about the papryus struggling to get out of the cocoon...  if it doesn't have it's struggles, it would not gain strength, the strength to wriggle out & fly away.


If I took it from my "mom" my butterfly would have just fallen to the ground, weak to be squished.


Guess it is kind oflike knowing the dark from the light, pain from happiness... if we didn't have contrasts in life, we wouldn't know a good thing when we saw it.
