Eden in March

 Eden in March

brrrrrrrrr chills. It tis cold  here.

Well I, lets see, all so exciting.filled the birdfeeders, had to put hamster food in some, ran out of bird seed. I am sure I shook enough out of my sweat shirt to feed twenty chickens too. Came into the house and had some in my hair too. You can bet Luster will find every seed. silly pig

Then burned a bunch of stuff  and cremated Kirbybassets body . Had to use gas, had to spill it all over mysweatshirt and my hands too. P U. Then cleaned out a mess Estersuesue made and put that in the fire too. You know if I did not have animals, what would I have to do?

For you who don't know I had to put Kirby down yesterday. He has been crying at night and biting more. He bit the heck out of my hand and finger after I unhooked his claw from a string on a blanket. It was time. I was a basket case. Almost passed out at the vet. They were so kind to me. Kirby was a treated well. I hate it.

gotta think about happier stuff.....

Fed the  masses. Trying to open a bag with Suesues ole face in mine, trying to HELP. Then Tuckergoat came over and decided to start butting the bag. That was helpful for sure.

These guys antics are what helps me put one foot in front of the other. Estersue is a Yorkshire pig, yep ever 1200 pounds of her. She knows when I am not quite me. She comes over and rubs her head on me or just leans on me. I wish I could bring her inside. Nothing like taking a nap against a warm pig.

Last night I was so exausted when I got home I forgot to shut the front gate. I looked down there,  yep there was Chief  my Appy/Paint sorta looking at the OPENING. "Could this be real??" He sneaks out then sorta saunters around, kicks up his heals and takes off. I knew where he was going. I got a rope and walked behind him. He turned into the neighbors driveway and found some nice grasss. Saw me and came running over. What a big goof. I gave him some grain from my pocked and we headed back.

I must look so weird to people always out there in a dress messing with the animals. Chief is such a nice boy. I can actually walk him by his his mane.

I tried to put my 3 llamas in this other pasture I can use. seven nice acres. The idiots got out and headed up the driveway of these other people who have alpacas. So I grab rope. leashes one halter and a hose.

In a dress as usual. The neighbors dogs were awesome, just some white sorta eskimo little dog, and a rottie/mastiff. They would help me herd the idiots back down the drive. I would almost get them and back up the mountain they went. I was yelling how i was sure my neighbors had a gun and we would have a neighborhood barbecue... My single  guy neighbor was outside probably cracking up at me. I noticed he did not come and help.

I also mentioned to them that Barbara my llama rescue budi would be happy to place them somewhere else....

Anyway I tied the hose on one fence then put it on the ground across the driveway. finally the dogs and I got them down, I picked up the hose and put it around them and got two. tied them up.

Went after Sundance the youngest, biggest and a brat. After chasing him up and down until I wanted to see if I could just throw a rock or boulder or two or three at him... I got him too.

ok now what? I tied all three to me. heck with it. I told them if they took off I was sitting down. AT this point I was so tired it was not funny anymore. well till now. haha ok on top of it all remember I have IBS? IF you don't know what it is, suffice it to say for the first time I was trying to wear depends. Just in case ya know?
Well the whole time I am holding them up as they won't stay up. What is up with that??

so now I have three huge llamas tied to me trying to hold up these stupid underwear.

They actually did really well and we got back the half acre or so back home. NO my stupid unders did not fall down.... and on we go
-
Got the walkway to the dog poo area done!!! What a relief. I wish I had it done when I was gone so much to gramas. Too many old dogs, too many accidents. Now no accidents and it smells so good in here. Doggy doors are the only way to go I swear. Keeps the cats out too. I had to make a covered walkway to the dog area that is completely enclosed.

The ONLY problem is one pig who is going to be in trouble... Luster went out the doggy door and pooed on the deck on the way to the poo area. rrrrrr can't win. I let him out his door to the yard, he goes out in the grass a bit, visits the others, checks their bowls in case they left a tiny bit of nothing, then promptly goes back to the deck and poos...rrr maybe the depends will fit on him.

love,debilyn

OMG Debilyn,

Thank you very much for the comedic relief you provided me.

I am very visual and your descriptions had me laughing so hard.  I can just picture the whole event.

I concur animals are better than some people.  Thank goodness we have them.

Enjoy them,

Maria123

Hi Debilyn so good to hear from you again.  Just know that Kirby could have not have had a better Mum to look after him.  The greatest gift is to help them die peacefully.  Bet G/Ma and Kirby are getting up to a few pranks in heaven now.  Hope you didn't give away too many trade secrets to those two the angels might be blushing lol.  Praying HP gives you the strength to cope with your A and the problems that are in your immediate environment.  Hang in there.  ((()))Luv Leo x

Debilyn,

I so love your little posts about all your various critters- I always look forward to the next installment!  It especially gave me something to laugh over right now with my other half being in the hospital.  Thanks

Dana

Thank you, thank you!  Life is too much sometime lol !!    You are too funny, I love how you are able to laugh about the IBS, I know how terrible that can be.  My sister has struggled with that (and the depends ) for years.

You should consider writting, like James Harriet (the vet).   Woohooo, what stories you could write, and make a million.

Have a great day!

Debilyn - have you ever thought of writing a book of little stories about your Eden?  I think it would be a great book - could even be a children's book.

I always enjoy your posts and your wirting of your life with the animals.

Thank you for sharing it with us!

And I am so sorry to hear about Kirby.  He is running free now at the Rainbow Bridge and will be there to greet you when it's your turn.  I know it hurts a lot now but soon you will remember all the good times and happy times and when you think of Kirby he will make you smile and feel good.

Debilyn,

What would we do without our animals? They help us keep the humor. Everytime I need a laugh I let my bunny out and watch him run around the living room.

Much Love,

Your stories about your Eden always make me smile.

The trials and tribulations of your furry family is so laughable, yet so real and normal.

Hug those wonderful furries.

I am so glad that your sanctuary is a source of nuturing for you. When I go numb (which I do because I have ptsd) I can forget the joy and amusement and love I get from my animals.  I can also go on overwhelm when issues happen. I am glad that you are able to process what happened to your dog and the after effects. I am glad that you can reach out for love and support. I know I get very little from my A around caring for the animals (although he claims to be besotted with them).  I can sometimes get resentful of their care and being left to it.  The more I can embrace that he is an A the more I can stop taking that particular issue personally.

thank you for reminding me to find the joy in every day life.

Maresie.

AAWWW Debilyn, you are such a treasure! Glad to see your sense of humor is still intact!!

So sorry about your G'ma and Kirby. So happy for them that they had someone like you in their lives.

Isn't it wonderful how animals can distract us from our worries, no matter how exhausted we may be. One thing for sure, your life is never dull!

Myself, like the others, think you should seriously think of writing a book!! You have such a way with words! And don't let any editor change a word!!

So happy to see you back! Love Ya! TLC
