I need some serious prayers, all. I have had the same job for 19 years, now they are firing all kinds of people for anything. I have always had good attendance, but in Sept. I missed 3 days, and the end of Feb. I missed a week. All due to stress from living with an A. I was in hospital in Sept. for suicidal thoughts.
The word at work is anyone with over 35 hours of absence is under scrutiny, and I have 70 hours absent.
My A has left, and is living with friends, and is having outpatient treatment, but I hope we can reconcile. He has much resentment toward me. Now, the job scare. I am so terrified. This job has meant security, insurance for us, etc. I have been trying to hand it over to God. Need prayers, please.
protect yourself, check into labor laws regaarding sick leave. If you have paid days off you are entitled to use them and cannot be penalized for doing so if medically necessary. Talk with your physician about this potential problem and save yourself some potential headaches down the road. You get can always get medical documentation to support your need for time off.

Sounds like you have nothing to worry about, hon. You have 19 years vested, that is a long time. Easy, talk with your direct supervisor ~ just let your boss know you are dedicated and love your job. That there is nothing more you want to do than to keep your job. That really is all you can do. I think it would be the best thing ; to not discuss or gossip about what is going on with any of the other employees. No matter how close you feel to them.
Being away from work, (absence/ leaves/ time off, ) *to take care of yourself can not/ should not be considered in any way a means of challenging or disregarding company policies and procedures. I , too, like the idea of having your physician write up a letter for you to have your supervisor place in your personal / personnel files.( If your supervisor agrees.) Sick leaves are in place exactly for what you have used them for. I don't see it (your time off) being an issue.
Your in my prayers , Beck. I'm sure you will be fine.
Let Go and Let HP have this!! Keep Looking Up and be pleasant to everyone. Home and Work. ((BigHuG))
My prayers are with you. Does your job have Family Medically Leave? Most people don't know that by state law in most states you do not have to take all of your leave at one time. You can take is as needed up to the total of twelve weeks per calander year. Your absence just has to be because of whatever you put on your paperwork. Have you tried to talk to your supervisor?
Hi Becky , try not to project . You don't know if your on the list , just do your job like you have done before and dont listen to office scuttlebutt. When a company is reshaping itself tempers flare and everyone is treading on egg shells . Fake it til u make it works for me - tell your self your not going to be fired and carry on. Act as if !!!
You have said yourself u are a good employee - if this job ends there will be another. Hang in there. Have faith Louise
