trying to let go

So, I got laid off from work today.  Someone has been taking money since I started working there, and the boss has been off for surgery, so she asked me not to work for a couple weeks till she is back.  I told her that there is no way I would ever do such a thing.  I am just not made that way.  Never have been.  I told her I need work, that I left another good paying job to take this one, and that I need to find other employment.  She told me that when she gets back and gets it all straightened out, she will let me know what she decides about me possibly coming back.  I really don't want to go because I feel that someone there was jealous of me doing so well, so quickly and that they stole to make it look like me.  I could be way off base, but either way, its not the kind of environment for me.  I need a proffessional place to work.  I was the last one to find out that I had been pulled off the books. (I am a hairstylist).  So, here I am letting go and letting God again, and its so darn hard, and it hurts so bad to know people could do this to me.   Thanks for listening.

Sounds like you have been very upfront about everything. Sometimes it is just not fair especially when you think you have been doing a good job. But remember that it is more about them then it is about you.

In support,

Nancy

Hello, Aly,
My heart really goes out to you. It does hurt, and now you have to start looking for another job. It is unfair. And also, it strikes me that a lot of your thinking is very clear about all of this.
I read something the other day that might be helpful to you at this time. It was about inviting God into your thinking things through when you have a problem to solve. Maybe you could invite God into your thinking about your next steps, and see what happens.
If this isn't for you, that's ok. Hopefully, it will be of value to someone.
Thanks for trusting us here with your post.
Blessings,
mebjk

Aly:  I have had a lot of work issues over the past few years and really I have not been that willing to try to talk about them or deal with what is my issue in them. I can very much understand the resentment of being laid off and having no money and not knowing what to do. I can also empathise with being around people who are dysfunctional and trying to make it right.

Last year I worked around a man who created tremendous chaos and illwill around everyone.  Guess who is still employed at this one company I worked for - he is!  I can resent him and them for a long time but it does not change the fact that life is not necessarily fair.  I do try to create a lot of options for myself workwise these days and do not hang onto any one option.  I think it can be incredibly difficult when we are on survival level.  I look to getting into healthier enviroments but I am not sure some days I  know what a healthy environment is.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for listening and taking the time to share.  I am more afraid to go out looking and finding more of the same as what I have for the last three jobs I have taken.  I am a hairstylist, and although I know and understand that many occupations have the same problems, I have always wanted to do more with my life so a change in occupation may be something for me to look into.  I just don't know where I want to start.  I am 43 years old, and dying to work for one company for more than a year.   My last longest employment was three years, and it was just not a good situation for me at the time.  I have been praying and trying to hear God's answer.  Seems with all the bad work situations I have been in, that I may not be actually hearing my HP but my own self-will.   I pray for the clarity to know the difference.  Thanks again for all your support.

Hugs

Aly
