I've been asked for an update so I'll do a short one, will know more tomorrow after A's Dr appt.
Things are kind of weird right now. A is still very sick. His back problem is worse. He can barely make it to the bathroom. I feel really bad for him. He's so weak and thin, recovering from detox, pneumonia and to be in so much pain is a lot to deal with. He is on 15 different meds with a total of 21 pills per day (yuck). No wonder he has no appetite. I'm concerned though, something tells me things are just not right. As I said, we'll know a bit more tomorrow after Dr. appt, if I can get him there. I'm not sure he can do the stairs at this point.
As for me..... I'm OK. Some days exhausted. I'm busy taking care of him and keeping up with the usual stuff. I did go to my f2f this week, son stayed w/ A... I saw a church sign on the way... It said: Sorrow looks back Worry looks around Faith looks up. So that is what I'm doing. I'm taking One Day at a Time, and heeding HP's message and continue to "look up".
Actually, it's pretty quiet around here as far as dealing with "stark raving sober" , I haven't done that yet. A is just too ill. We haven't talked much about his recovery, it's a mute point right now. We're just trying to get his health back. Everytime I see him so pale and thin laying in bed I get the casket image. He just looks so awful and frail. A far cry from the handsome man he truly is.
So, please, if you would say a prayer for his health and for me to sustain mine through this time I sure would appreciate it :). Love you all Christy

You are a wonderful, loving and caring person! And such and inspiration to all of us to keep working the program. Keep Looking Up. Love you Hon! (((BIGHug)))
I am glad to hear that you are managing and went to a ftf. I am also glad to hear you are taking it one day at a time. What an ordeal you have been through.
HI Christy, YOu are hokding up well under th ose circumstances. I'm sorry that he is soo sick. I hate what alcohol can do to a person. My son who is NOT drinking right now looks so good. Your handsome hubby will be feeling well soon I hope. That's a LOT of meds to be taking tho. The side effectsfrom that alone can make someone sick. Can he eliminate any of them?? Just a thought, Mamasan
