Hello, I posted yesterday about my son who is an alcoholic. I got a lot of good advice, but I am still really scared of the whole process. Will I have to live the rest of my life like this? If so, then it is not much of a life to live. Could someone please give me the names of some good books that might help. I am truly on my last prayer. Thank you, Lenora
I love the Toby Drew Rice (I might have that name caddywampus LOL .. it might be Toby Rice Drew's that whole series is called Getting Them Sober, I think Vol 3 deals with alcoholic children.
Don't let the title fool you it's about changing me not the A. The A is who they are .. the question comes down to what am I going to do? I choose to have a life.
It is different with children than it is with the sig other's or at least I think so I can choose to get a divorce, leave or whatever .. I can't imagine divorcing my kid/s. That's a whole different deal.
Hugs S :)

If you are able to get to an Al Anon meeting, you will get a welcome pack of literature for free. Also, I like the book "How Al Anon Works" it gives a good overview of what Al Anon is all about. I know many people who, through the help of Al Anon have achieved serenity even with sons and daughters in similar condition.
