to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
The C2C reading for today is a perfect reminder to keep the focus on ourselves, and listen to the loud voices within that are telling us that were not good enough.
The reading points out that this is not the truth, and it is a caused by damaged self-esteem that is a result of living with the disease of alcoholism. When we finally enter Al-Anon and are given the slogans and the serenity prayer, we find it easier to tell these voices to be quiet as they're not true.
By making a gratitude and asset list on a daily basis, I can replace these negative thoughts with gentler, more loving, affirmations. Once I make a habit of this, the abusive thoughts vanish.
Today's reminder suggests that treating ourselves with kindness and respect helps us to challenge the self-criticism and self-doubt, which is a result of living with this disease.

With that in mind I would like to advise all I am leaving for a nine day vacation to Croatia this afternoon and am looking forward to being computer free during that time.
