For the first time in maybe 10-15 years, I was not depressed on Val. Day, because my marriage is so disappointing.  Been there, done that!  Thanks to Alanon, I had no expectations to be ruined!  I was actually surprised that my A got me two very nice gifts!  I have been practicing detachment, not being codependent, and the Serenity Prayer.  Amen, it all works.  Today my A and I are going with my very nice brother and his wife to see a play and have dinner. It's my brother's birthday celebration.  Best Valentine weekend ever!  Lyne biggrin
