When I read Hope for Today Jan 10, I got thinking about the state I was in a couple of years ago when I thankfully found MIP. I was 'off the chain' as some of my students would say. Not sleeping or eating and although not an A myself, certainly living in A behavior and completely addictive patterns myself.
I am grateful to this place and the program. In those days, i would log on at 3 or 4 in the morning and go to the chat room and thank HP there was someone (maybe in a different time zone) who was there. I stopped feeling so alone, and I haven't felt so alone since. For anyone who is new or not, just feeling desperate, I will offer that coming here, going to online and f2f meetings, readings, a sponsor--the support are active ways to pursue recovery for self.
I wanted to say happy new year to all of you and also a thank you to so many who have inspired me in ways you may not possibly know!
