It is MONDAY & it is short...

Good weekend. I am learning so much about myself these days. I am learning to treat myself better. I am enjoying the time I have & doing devotions & reading my al anon books & meditations. God is so good to me that I am getting better at reading. Sometimes my head is so cloudy that it is hard to read. I just put my best foot forward. I haven't been trying to be humble enough. Friday at an open AA meeting I made a remark to an Alcoholic that is not a newcomer but is new at long time sobriety. I won't go into it but I still feel bad about what I said. Sober alcoholics can get really sensitive. So, maybe I will make amends if I get a chance.

Kathleen,

It's great to hear that you are just putting your best foot forward. To me that's another way of saying One Day at a Time!

I'm willing to bet that you have been trying hard to stay humble, but we all occasionally slip up - -well, I can only speak for me, and I'm a great example of someone who slips up often! Taking my inventory and reasoning with myself about the problem, and then making amends works well for me.

Keep treating yourself well!

Kenny
