Well I've been sick for the last 3 days.  It got so bad this morning I had to get to urgent care for some help.  I finally get into the docs office and the doctors assist was asking the usual questions.  She was talking so fast I couldn't understand what she was saying on some things and I could see she was getting frustrated.  Well lady I was frustrated and tired and sick after 2 1/2 hours waiting so give me a break I was thinking.  When she left I was so upset I was going to give her a piece of my mind and let her know that SHE NEEDS to talk slower with older people and maybe just maybe she wouldn't have to repeat herself. Also tell her that her bedside matter sucked......but I didn't.   The doctor came, told me what I might have and told me she was going to give me a shot for the pain and nausea. OK....now I sit for another 20 minutes so I opened the door and stared down the assist until she FINALLY got the shot together and came in.  She said it would hurt.....I smiled and said it wouldn't if she gave it slower but we are BOTH in a hurry so I will accept the pain.   Big smile at her and she laughed.....   I didn't have to say much and she was very nice when I left and told me to take care and was sorry for everything taking so long.  She was nice.....

I walked away not getting mad at someone and that's a good thing.   I'm home and hope to recover soon.

I loved how you kept your b/p down and came home happy with your choice of tools. That makes me smile. It also makes me grin to think of you staring down the assistant for 20 minutes until she got the shot ready and came in. That is the second time I've heard you talk about just giving somebody "the look" and it always makes me laugh. I think it is maybe a signature trademark of Lady Cathy of Arizona.

Is the shot helping? I'm not happy that you've been this sick.

Nice work Cathy This is what it takes. By keeping the focus on your feelings, calming yourself down, not reacting but responding in a positive manner you kept your serenity and left a pleasant atmosphere

hope the injection helped!I have a prescription around at all times called phenergan. it eases the nausea and helps you to sleep, relax.

I  know you held back, probably good. But in our goal of self care... All doc offices have an office manager. If I ever have a problem I go to them. They then relay it and make sure the doc or whoever gets a heads up. Doc may be on stress hurry mode and need a touch of reality. We all do.

Sure hope you feel better. I never get virus sick till about a week ago, sore throat like OWEEEE! cannot swallow in morn at all. have to get down fizzy med first etc.

cat I learned I have to let that poison out. Do it in a costructive way. I call it I have swallowed all the poop I am going to and let it out! It is something I am working on.

Well and plus hon you are sick and who wants to watch what we say then! when I have been real sick i will ask them to please put me somewhere I can have it dark and lay down! that waiting is inappropriate. This is exactly why I did not allow my Mother to go alone to any of her app.s.

I never thought of before how those stupid speed bumps in parking lots etc joggle and hurt some people either!!!

Anyway I sure hope you can give yourself some care. I am weird, I have to clean the house up before I can relax and be sick. sigh. i can hear henry my tortoise crunching on his meal now...he will follow me till I give him his huge salad! lol

hope your kitties are keeping you warm.

Oh Cathy, do you have the stomach virus that's going around here? I have a friend who has had it since Friday and he's miserable. I do hope that the meds help you. I am down with a cold or some sort of sinus bug. I'm taking time for me and resting on the couch, too. Praying you feel better by tomorrow!
