Ah caint hug y'all. And after all its already Jan 2 here in NZ.

One of the hotumanawa [hot hearts] of the board Betty I have already hugged you in person so I understand the nature of your warmth.

You welcomed me, a stranger~ in my life I was so used to put-downs and let-downs, but you came early to greet me and you shared coffee and chocolate with me afterwards. You introduced me to your world. Which for me was a big scary place! Both up in the sky and underground!

Seeing it believing and it was so deep and warm being with your home f2f group. In 2011, as you Know I had been to Stepping Stones, and literally wept by the waters of Babylon- that little creek that ran through the property. I thought of tall the live that had shared that space, and that enchanted home.

But ~coming home~ to your group, in the Big Apple, was the real nuts and bolts stuff- the future of Alanon, in practise.

I don't share so much on this board now. This was my base as I worked with one of the other MIP boards. Mebbe I should have had a sponsor for this, but I came here, leaned inwards, and felt to love and warmth I so sorely needed...

...I think you need only so many long timers, especially male longtimers... but we do support each other both inside and outside of the rooms... as you know we always have 'a way to go' ourselves... and this is a part of the joy, and the humanity that we will always share...

...this might sound like a bit of a speach. coming from NZ I was always a bit overawed by 12 step speakers from the USA. I always felt I would have to stand on tip-toe to stand a little taller. But not so. There is a depth of humility there as everywhere...

...I am so grateful i was able to bring a bit of that home with me...

...people work in and around this board day by day... everyone pitches in. as we have learned to do....

This was a good moment for me to move forwards...

I feel like I am no longer alone...

its awesome... smile

thanks you so much! aww
