Feeling gratitude. Just came out of my yard from doing bird feeding and plant rescues and some landscaping and more. Also just got off an email from my younger brother who is battling good news turned bad news about his pancreatic cancer. Gonna start chemo/radiation and is asking for prayers of course...if you have extras send them toward "Bob" in Livermore Ca. please. The morning "Super Saturday AFG" meeting was very good and a bit sad as one of our members is leaving for "up there" for a period of time and I told her that if her trip doesn't work out "she is to come back home immediately"...not controlling much huh?
I live on and within and for the aina...the land. It is a gift that keeps giving such as the "Red Bird" avatar I just put up. You all know what a Bird of Paradise looks like and my HP just loves to show off its continuing art work.
Isn't that incredible? and yet the pure red with the exception of it's white center finger is inspiring also.
This week I've been gifted by HP with a "Yellow Bird" and all I have to do is make sure others see it and enjoy it. Here it is MIP family. While I know that many are suffering from what the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction can and will do to our spirits I also have learned within the program to keep and open mind and open eyes to the "other" spirits around us that cause us to put the pain aside to allow in the stunning beauty all around us that I usually missed because I was held captive I thought.
Yes the disease and its insanity is still within our family to a point yet not any longer to the point where it owns us beyond a pause and then a detachment which allows beautiful artwork by HP to captivate. We know Luiza's "White Peacock" avatar. Each time I see that I murmur "Thank you God" and then I get to see it even when I am not here as flowers often take the same form. Thank you God.
My office is a garden
this is just the back of it...spend a lot of time in the back with HP though the artwork surrounds the entire hotel. Very very easy to get and maintain recovery with an attitude of gratitude here.
Gerry~Flowers are beautiful. My dear friend of 40+ years just started 3 weeks in the hospital for bone cancer. It's a struggle to stay at peace knowing she is suffering and her prognosis is ? Thanks for your words of wisdom, Lyne

Involuntary outflow of breath with these photos when I got to the white flower and the garden. So, so beautiful. Thank you for these. May the spirits of all that is good and healing surround those people mentioned and those people not mentioned who are struggling with some form of dis-ease tonight. May they awaken on their tomorrow with a sense of being held in the hands of the Maker of the stars, the birds, and exotic flowers.
Grateful that is more than enough prayer to pass on to my brother...that Is abundance...I love it. El-Cee the three flowers...the red, the yellow and the "of Paradise" are all flowers with the category name of "Bird". They grow wild here and occupy our lives freely. The white one most resembles a bird with wings wide open and when I saw it I remembered Luiza avatar...the white peacock which is soooo awesome of creation to me. (((hugs)))

Like My Heart..you are so right because I didn't do anything special other than accept the invitation and offer to be involved. Just imagining that I was told..."You are so over qualified for this" LOL!!! I gave the choice back to them saying "Well the decision is yours. You can go with "over qualified" or anyone else and they made the choice for while I also get the benefit while hopefully so do many others.
The Bird of Paradise is a unusual flower of shape and colors. It has over half a dozen colors in each flower not to mention the shapes. The others are two colored...a red or a yellow and white over the green of the plant and yet they all reveal to me how powerless I am and mostly just a spectator in my life. I don't need to invent beauty or chaos. I just get to pick and choose what will appeal to me at anyone time. How would I have ever expected that these would be one of the lessons of the program for me when I found the doors of the program.

gorgeous pictures, Jerry. It's a little piece of Heaven on earth. I love flower gardening. T'is one of my favorite ways of being close to my HP. I'm praying for your brother.
