I just wrote on Mel's post about Christmas Day and I thought what is that all about. I could do something for myself. SO
I'm going to the store tonight after work and buy all the fixin's to make Christmas Dinner. I'm going to cook my heart out and enjoy the best meal I can put together. Food always makes me feel good inside and I will love doing it. Hey maybe SO will come to dinner LOL

Hi Cathy - Christmas can be a fun topic for me - last night I fell asleep three times while trying to watch Rudolph all by my lonesome curled up on the couch - very peaceful. This year I bought a 4' purple tree with lights so all I had to do was put it together, fan out the branches and plug it in - nice! (and no one has to water it). For Christmas Eve dinner we are planning small lobster tails and whatever else sounds good, Christmas Day dinner will be ham, mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts (frozen for easy preparation). Christmas was something I had to reclaim for me - making it what I wanted it to be, not what someone else always demanded. I like a simple dinner Christmas day, daughter sleeps in until after noon and I enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning. I wish it would snow Christmas morning, but in our area we get a big dump of snow early then none usually until later in January, oh well.

Awesome Cathy! Before returning home this morning, I stopped at the grocery store with a similar idea in mind. I know where I will be welcomed with love for company and have created a holiday retreat right here in my own home- full of love. I also like LMH's watching holiday favorites- adding this on!

I'm doing Christmas alone and i got a ham, salad, organic french fries to do up, and also a 2 pack of my favorite treat----butter fingers....
OH....2 bones each for the doggies........so cook away, my AZ buddy.....if he doesn't show up, I will, LOL

I found out last night my son has been moved to Florence Prison so now he about 100 miles away. He called and told me he's in a tent and he is freezing to death but it's all good because he is grateful he's out of lockdown......been in lock down over 2 months waiting to be moved. He also said he's in a working "Camp Snoopy yard" and instead of making .30 cents a hour he can now make 3.00 dollar a hour and that will help much more paying off his fines of over 5 grand. I miss him ..... Merry Christmas Son
