I hope you guys will allow it!! This house doesn't have a letter-box. I enjoy many aspects of the lifestyle here but there are some things lacking such as an oven, clothesline and, a letterbox and the post-man tends to throw the letters on the ground with angry writing "why don't you have a letterbox" etc written on the letter at the top of the stack. So they get wet, the snails eat them, they blow away etc. Now I do not have a problem with the fact that my housemates choose not to welcome mail. But in the right now, I need to recieve it.

Anyway I am here for at least 2 more weeks and expecting important things by mail. I cannot afford a post-office box so, I am going to make some kind of makeshift post-box. it needs to keep the letters dry and not blow away in the wind. I am not good at visual sort of crafty stuff or engineering so I am open to creative suggestions! Low cost or free secure and dry mail receptacle ideas needed!!!

Ms.M I so understand your need to receive mail so that I would suggest that if you knew the time he arrived each day ,you could simply meet him and take the mail.

.In The USA a mail box must reach a particular standard or the mailman will not use it. If you do not have that criteria then maybe a metal breadbox that door swings in and out or up and down would work or a cigar box might also do the trick. I know you are creative person and will come up with  something. Let us know what it is

hi kiddo, if the mail can be thrown on the ground then I doubt you guys have any rules.

I am sure if you go to your thrift shop you can find something. Bucket with a lid with a slit on top for  mail, better a slit on the side so things stay dry.

your life is showing you, "your life." Things are like this sometimes, too much stuff! I see you handling it all quite well, thinking things out instead of running down the road pulling your head out screaming!

I mean you have your dog and cat.You got out of a bad bad situation. Facing truths and not in denial. Hey I will always love my AH or more i will always love the man I fell in love with. But that man died, the monster now owns him.

this is so good for your daughter to see you being strong. Not putting her in danger or anxiety in her home anymore is huge.
I am sure your animals are calmer too.

Well it is hard for anyone to have others in their home, its natural. Not you at all. She may have found she wants to just focus on her family now. Its ok as you were planning to leave anyway.

Maybe a gesture of some kind? Have a talk about the homes you are looking at, `what your plans are.

It's no use being concerned. though I can imagine how uncomfy it is.

Mel I invite you to think about the values you teach your daughter ok? People all over are struggling to just live. What are we saying if we play into this insane expensive outfit? Or the other insane financial things they want to put on kids education. Isn't that what it is about? education? cloths don't help you to learn better. Many kids are going to school online now.

You are such a cool person and I bet inside you are thinking how she was just wearing was it her tigger jammies out in public not long ago. We are teaching our kids by our decisions for them. NO way am I going to spend that kind of money I don't have anyway on a uniform, are you kidding???? How about I concentrate on getting us our own home with cat and dog?

Maybe she won't understand now, but believe me she will later. My daughter and son both apologized to me for all the boloney they did to me. I of course said oh its very ok, it was your job to be buttheads....(c:

It's not her fault either, it is that schools. Who are the people who put the kids in this position anyway?

rrrrr you are a good strong mother, I know you are doing your best and it is very good.

I have a question, you say you love A. right now, besides being good looking, what is it you love about him?

useful box.jpgMaybe you have a similar box? Place it where the postman usually leave the mail, stick a bold sign on the top and hopefully the postman will use it
Here the postman comes everyday at the same time.
