Lovely honey what a talent you have there. Please Ash try and remember you are only 17 and I promise you one day soon your life will be better. When you are a little older you will have total control of your destiny. You have the power to make your life better it is in your hands honey.
I realize life has handed you some nasty stuff. Always remember the footprints prayer it has carried me thru life's most unbareable moments.
One day you will have a family of your own. You will become an awesome mom I have no doubt.
So honey be strong, stand tall and most of all be happy.
We cannot do anything about the cards we are delbt, but we can choose how they affect our lives. I know you have been through some terrible stuff, stuff I could not imagine... but you wanna know something? When I talk to ya in the room, this really great person shows through, so you do have a heart and a soul....you are one of Gods beautiful gifts to the world and dont forget that :) My teen years sucked too, so I can relate to that, but they will be over soon, and trust me things will change and life will be more enjoyable.
Once again you have written what I too have felt so many times. I hope writing your poetry helps you rid yourself of the pain and the guilt of what you have suffered. You are awsome!
Someday you will be past this chapter in your life and looking back. I foresee success and happiness for you, Lauren. It may take some hard work and determination, but you can change your life.
As you know, I love to hear your poetry. Even when it is sad - that is what poetry is for, expressing our emotions, and, those of us who read it, we can relate, remember a small space in ourselves where we had these feelings.
