any more than we can handle.  How long has it been since we have heard that message and how much longer that we wanted to completely believe and trust it.  I have been quiet and listening with my eyes and ears.  I have  reviewed again and again the message before me and have come to understand that my Higher Power has been telling me "now is the time to step out" with courage, faith and trust.  I'm getting that message very clearly and it diminishes the problem to where it can be handled.  I cannot handle it on my own and so part of the solution is asking others for their experiences and spirit and being humble in letting myself follow when that is required and lead when HP nudges me to do so.

I have gained courage, willingness and ESH by sneaking into MIP and reading.  No the perception of the problem isn't solely alcohol and drug addiction consequences however the solutions still come from within the program...steps, traditions, slogans, sponsorship, literature, meetings, and of course a Power Greater Than Myself.

I don't feel as overwhelmed as I did yesterday and the days before as I allowed myself to let go of some of the distractions I employed...natural consequences.  I got reminded of one of the "Just For Today" steps and the pamphlet which says in part, "JUST FOR TODAY...I ill try to live through this day only and not tackle all my problems at once.  I can do something for 12 hours that would appall me if I felt I had to keep it up for a lifetime".   I will just keep it up for today.

Jer you are very special to us.

When I feel yuckiest, I ask hp to hang on to me tight. I don't know what name you call the creator in your native language, but Jer, us it.

Its important.

No matter what you do Jerry, you always mean to do your best. Nothing you can do would ever make me not respect you, or believe in you. I hope you feel this for yourself too.

Jerry F, you are one of the wise al-anon old timers that when you speak I stop and listen. Everyone here has a story to tell and ESH to share and you very lovingly hear us all and share your self with us. Those like you among us are a gift and I thank you for your time and effort here at MIP. God always shows up for me in my time of need and I am glad you are relying on him. Actually part of the handling will be tomorrow afternoon.  Did some of my homework this evening getting the ball rolling or maybe keeping it rolling as many other put their shoulder to it.  Gotta remember tomorrow to stay on program or in program and with program.  HP will be there and always is...gotta do my part.  Our program works when we work it...will repeat that tonight before sleep and in the morning and after noon tomorrow.  Sending Serenity.  (((((hugs))))) smile

Back home  with the "bail" refund.  Sat in court with my PTSD raging and praying "Place me where you want me...tell me what to do" and then they called my name.  The judge had all the information or most of  one side which nulled the charges against me and authorized return of  bail.  Yes I got jailed again in this crazy illegal relationship with the u.s. government and I'm satisfied that they refunded now because part of that was from my wife's stash and she doesn't understand or appreciate having to show up at jail with cash to get me home.  I promised myself to stay on program and out of "self" which had me leaning toward PTSD demonstration.  I kept it simple since I was there only to recover finances and nothing else and got some benefits from others who were helpful.  I am hearing impaired so the judge and her assistants have to assist.  I am also not American as most of you know already; I am a sovereign Hawaiian National who has lived his entire life in suppression from various "dis-eases".   I am beyond grateful to Al-Anon and MIP for giving me the tools to remain in sanity and the instructions on how to use them.  I actually had a short vision of being taken from the court in handcuffs and rejailed.  Yes I'm severely oppositional and "won't roll over for anything" who can now see doing the "better" thing as not rolling over...just not letting the best get in the way of the better.  God didn't give me any more than I could really handle although I almost did.   Shucks!!   sooooo grateful.   (((((MIP)))))... I'm glad your wife's money and your money was refunded and that you were able to help yourself more than hurt yourself in whatever circumstances you are referencing, Jerry. I am also glad that the short vision of being taken from the courts in handcuffs and re-jailed was only a vision and not a reality. Perhaps God hemmed you in so that God could make sure you didn't experience anymore than you could handle. I do hope you can rest deeply and well tonight, Jerry.
