I had a terrible morning of self doubt and worry about where my life and marriage would go, but after reading this "Just for today I will try to live through this day only, not tackle all my problems at once." I realise that I had fallen into a deep dark hole, it can often happen so quickly that I don't realise until I step back attend a meeting or complete a reading.
So now I can move on with the day and not waste the precious gift I have been granted.
Thanks Sean for reminding me to read the Just for Today card. Its on my fridge but I don't always think to read it! Not sure if that's where you got that sentence from but I pasted it here for anyone that, like myself, needs a little reminding every now and again Glad you got some clarity abut your day. I love it when I get the courage and willingness to turn my thoughts and day around.
Just for today I will try to live through this day only & not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something for twelve hours that would appal me if I felt that I had to keep it up for a lifetime.
Just for today I will be happy. Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Just for today I will adjust myself to what is & not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my luck as it comes & fit myself to it.
Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will study; I will learn something useful; I will not be a mental loafer; I will read something that requires effort, thought & concentration.
Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways: I will do somebody a good turn & not get found out; if anybody knows of it, it will not count; I will do at least two things I dont want to dojust for exercise. I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt; they may be hurt, but today I will not show it.
Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything & not try to improve or regulate anybody except myself.
Just for today I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two pests: hurry & indecision.
Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself & relax. During this half hour, sometime, I will try to get a better perspective on my life.
Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful & to believe that as I give to the world, so the world will give to me.
Now if I can do at least one of these a day I know I'm making progress
Thank you for the reminder because I'm having a bit of a " to many problems at once " scenario so I will just let it go and ask HP to give me only what I can handle at this time.

Thanks for sharing that and to JM, too, for posting all of them, LOL! I used to find the reading of the 'just for todays' boring when I first came into program. Now, I use them on a daily basis to regroup and get myself back into program. Let go and let God.
